Island Seasons will be serving at the Douglas County Courhouse 100th Anniversary Celebration.
"The Douglas County Courthouse is 100 years old this month.
To celebrate, the
Douglas County commissioners are planning a
Centennial Celebration at 9 a.m.
Saturday that is free and open to the public.
The event will include tours, historical programming, a time capsule,
flag
raising, military salute, music, food and antique cars.
The celebration will
include the unveiling of a new Douglas County seal.
The courthouse is at 1701 Farnam St.

Zombie Run at Westfair, Council Bluffs
Get ready to run for your life in this zombie infested 5k! The Running Dead 5k is taking over Westfair Fairgrounds in a unique obstacle course style 5k event you won’t want to miss.
Before the race, each registered racer will be given a flag belt with 3 flags attached. Throughout the course of the race, racers will encounter zombies (some may be wondering alone, while others may be “hunting in a pack”) wanting to take your flags.
If you lose all your flags before you reach the finish line, you will be considered a “Zombie” when you cross the finish line and will not be eligible for prizes.
